"A La Vie, A L'Amour" was released by Jakie Quartz (real name Jacqueline Cuchet) in her native country France in 1987, peaking at #30. In 1989 the track was remixed by Pete Hammond, and released in the UK on the PWL Continental Label. It would be her only appearance in the UK charts, peaking at #55. The b-side for the single was "Bye Bye L'Ennui".
