Michaela - Take Good Care Of My Heart

Michaela Strachan is a British TV presenter, famous for hosting such shows as "Wide Awake Club", "The Hitman & Her" (co-presenting with Pete Waterman), "The Really Wild Show" and many other wildlife/nature programmes.

In the late 80's/early 90's Michaela had a brief spell as a would-be popstar, firstly releasing the single "H.A.P.P.Y. Radio" which reached #62 on the UK charts in September 1989, and secondly releasing "Take Good Care Of My Heart" which peaked at #66 in April 1990.

"Take Good Care Of My Heart" was written & produced by Ralf-Rene Maue, who had also produced three tracks on Sinitta's "Wicked" album. The song wasn't a hit, perhaps due to the public's unwillingness to accept Michaela's sudden jump from TV presenter to wannabe-popstar. Despite it's lack of success it really is a fantastic pop tune, and definitely can be classed as a Pop Gem!

Michaela - H.A.P.P.Y. Radio

From 1989, this was the debut single from TV presenter turne wannabe-popstar Michaela Strachan. It was a cover version of the 1979 hit from Edwin Starr and was produced by Mike Percy & Tim Lever, with additional production from Glen Skinner.

The song failed to be a hit, peaking at #62 in the UK charts in September 1989. The b-side was the (perhaps surprisingly) catchy "Time Flies", which was co-written by Michaela herself.
