Debut solo single from Betty Boo, taken from her album 'Boomania'. A fantastic pop/rap song, it reached #7 in the UK charts in 1990. It was produced by The Beatmasters, who she had collaborated with in 1989.

9.9 - All Of Me For All Of You


9.9 was an American R&B 80's girl group, consisting of members Margo Thunder, Leslie Jones and Wanda Perry. This was their biggest hit in 1985, which they followed up with the single 'I Like The Way You Dance'. They split in 1987.

From 1987, 2nd single to be taken from her debut album. A dark funk-dance track, Prince was rumoured to have been involved in its production. Sadly it didn't match the success of her previous single 'Looking For A New Love'.

Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) '91


In 1991 the Eurythmics released their 'Greatest Hits' album. To promote this, 'Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)' was remixed and re-released. The original 1983 version reached #2 in the UK charts. The remix version only managed to hit #48.

This song was featured in the BBC comedy show 'Red Dwarf', in the series 2 episode called 'Parallel Universe'. Danny John-Jules, who played The Cat in the show, released it at a single in 1993. It reached #17 in the UK charts.

Danny - Tokyo


Danny Saucedo was a finalist in 'Idol 2006', which is the Swedish version of the 'Idol' talent show. He gained a record contract in 2007 and released 'Tokyo' as his first single. It entered the Swedish charts at #2 and climbed to #1 the following week. His second single 'Play It For The Girls' also reached the #1 position. Both tracks featured on his album 'Heartbeats'.

Voggue - Dancin' The Night Away


Voggue were a female disco duo from Cananda, consisting of Chantal Condor and Angela Songui. 'Dancin' The Night Away', from 1981, was their biggest hit. They had another hit called 'Love Buzz' but the duo split after failing to have any other hits.

Bardeux - Magic Carpet Ride


Taken from their 1988 album 'Bold As Love', this is an absolute pop classic as far as i'm concerned. Love it love it! It sounds in places almost like a PWL/Stock Aitken Waterman-esque production. If you can seek out 'Bold As Love' then do so, it's great!

Betty Boo - I'm On My Way


Taken from her 1992 album 'GRRR! It's Betty Boo' this was the 2nd UK single to be released. It featured a musical quote from the Beatles 'Lady Madonna'. Although the track was well received by the media it failed to reach the Top 40 charts and stalled at #44.

Chaka Khan - I'm Every Woman '89 Remix


'I'm Every Woman' was originally released in 1978. A classic song of the disco era it was remixed & released in 1989 for the 'Life Is A Dance' Remix project. Some would say that Dancin' Danny D's remix of the track actually surpassed the original. I'd tend to agree. It is a great remix.
